Steve Betts is

Aaron R.
Eisenach is a Long-Term Care Insurance (LTCI) specialist with

insurance since 1988. A certified Long-Term Care Professional and
Certified Senior Advisor, Mr. Eisenach is a broker representing many
of the top insurance carriers available. He is a member of the
American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance, the Adams County
Aging Network, and is the past Chairperson of the Brighton Council
for Seniors and Disabled.
Mr. Eisenach
speaks to community organizations and businesses across Colorado,
such as Ball Aerospace, Lockheed Martin, Jefferson County Schools,
State of Colorado employees, University of Colorado, and the
University Seniors Association. Recently, he was selected as the
exclusive agent for the employees of Regional Transportation
District (RTD), the agent for the members of Rocky Mountain Farmers
Union (RMFU), and was the 4th best-selling agent in the
nation for a Top 3 insurance company. He also teaches continuing
education and licensing courses to other insurance agents, CPAs and
financial planners regarding LTCI.
His passion
for educating consumers about LTCI began when his grandfather
developed Alzheimer’s in his late 40s. Now Aaron’s own father
suffers from the disease, beginning in his late 50s. A native of
Colorado, Aaron and his wife, Cheryl, enjoy four children at their
home east of Brighton. An active church life, coaching little league
sports, and helping his children with 4-H projects are a few of the

Richard Engel
For more than ten
years, Richard has created and implemented business intelligence,
analytic, and planning solutions for Fortune 1000 companies.
Richard’s client base includes First Data Corporation, the Clorox
Company, Samsonite, and Del Monte Foods.
Prior to founding
CTech, Richard served as Practice Manager for Hyperion Solutions’
Essbase division where he was responsible for quality assurance,
consultant best practices and technical excellence at client
implementations.
Previously,
Richard established the Denver office of Think Fast Solutions, a
Hyperion Gold partner. Richard also worked for A-Cube Solutions,
where he led Essbase implementation projects focused on budgeting
and planning solutions.
Richard is a
Certified Hyperion Professional in Essbase (versions 4 through 6).
He is also a co-founder of the Business Intelligence Group in Denver
CO. Richard holds an MBA in International Finance (with honors)
from Santa Clara University and a bachelor’s degree in Accounting

William L. Exeter
William
"Bill" L. Exeter has been with TransUnion Exchange Corporation since
May of 2002 and is President and Chief Executive Officer of
TransUnion Exchange Corporation and TransUnion Reverse Exchange
Corporation and Senior Vice President of TransUnion Title Insurance
Company.
Mr. Exeter has
direct responsibility for the national 1031 exchange and specialized
holding escrow operations. He has been in the financial services
industry since 1980. He entered the 1031 exchange industry in 1986
and has written and lectured extensively on tax-deferred, like-kind
exchange transactions pursuant to Section 1031 of the Internal
Revenue Code and tenant-in-common properties, brokers and sponsors
or syndicators pursuant to Revenue Procedure 2002-22.
Immediately
prior to assuming management responsibilities for TransUnion
Exchange Corporation, Mr. Exeter served for 13 years as Executive
Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of The Chicago Trust
Company of California, an independent trust company, and its 1031
exchange operating subsidiary, one of the oldest and largest
nationwide 1031 exchange Qualified Intermediaries. He has administered in excess of 60,000
1031 exchange transactions throughout the nation during his career.
In addition, he served as a senior executive with two 1031 exchange
companies in the 1980s during the 1031 exchange industry’s infancy,
and is one of the founding members of the Federation of Exchange
Accommodators. Knowledgeable in all facets of our business, Mr.
Exeter’s professional experience includes 1031 exchange, title
insurance and escrow services (including specialized escrow
services), trust and retirement account administration, trust
operations, investment management services, commercial banking, and
insurance administration.
Mr. Exeter is involved with numerous professional organizations
including, COREnet Global, AIR Commercial Real Estate, ICSC, the San
Diego Chapters of CCIM and CREW, NAIOP, and SIOR, California Escrow
Association, San Diego County Escrow Association, and NorCal Escrow
Association, Federation of Exchange Accommodators. He also believes
very strongly in being involved with community organizations such as
the Child Abuse Prevention Foundation, and is currently serving on
the board of directors for the Senior Community Centers of San
Diego.
Mr. Exeter graduated from California State University, Los Angeles
with a Bachelors of Science degree in Accounting and the Canon
Financial Institute, attaining the Certified Securities Operations
Professional (CSOP) designation. He is currently working toward his
Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation.

Gary
Fleischman, Ph.D.

Gary
Fleischman holds a Ph.D. in accounting from Texas Tech University.
He also holds the CPA and CMA certificates and is a past treasurer
with the IMA (Chattanooga, Tennessee chapter). He has work
experience at Deloitte and Touche as a senior tax adviser in
addition to ten years of teaching experience at the college level,
five years at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and five
years at the University of Wyoming. Gary’s primary area of teaching
is in taxation as well as accounting and entrepreneurship. Gary has
a number of publications, and some of the outlets include The
International Journal of Accounting, Journal of Business
Ethics, Journal of Accountancy, The CPA Journal,
and the Tax Adviser.

Bill is an experienced senior

industries. His career spans thirty years and includes a wide range
of assignments in industry and with management consulting firms.

Heather King
Heather
has over nine years of experience serving clients in a variety of

life science, service and retail. During her career, Heather has
served both public and private companies, ranging in size from
start-up to multinational companies. Her palette of experience

Heather

Kevin O. O'Brien, CPA, JD
Kevin O’Brien is a CPA and attorney
teaching as an associate professor in the Business Ethics and Legal
Studies department of the Daniels College of Business. He has an
advanced degree in taxation at New York University and served as a
revenue agent for the Internal Revenue Service. His research
interests involved professional ethics, legal liability associated
with employment decisions, whistle blowing, technology/electronic
commerce, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and the science of teaching.
Professor O’Brien teaches principally the portal Values Based
Leadership course that analyzes the key executive decisions from

Ronald
O. Reed, Ph.D., CPA




Ron is a Professor of Accounting at the
University of Northern Colorado (UNC) and received his Ph.D. in
accounting from
Texas Tech
University and his B.S. and M.S. degrees in accounting from the
University
of Illinois-Champaign-Urbana. He has been on the accounting faculty
at UNC since 1988. Prior to being at UNC, Ron was on the faculty at
the University of Colorado, Boulder, Texas Tech University, Ferris
State University, and the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana.
Ron has
worked in public accounting with two of the big-six CPA firms: Ernst
& Young and KPMG Peat Marwick. He has consulted with numerous small
businesses and has developed and delivered a number of continuing
professional education courses.
Ron
primarily teaches in the auditing and financial accounting areas of
accounting. He also has taught accounting information systems
courses. He has a strong interest in international accounting
issues. In the Spring and Summer 1995, he taught in the MBA program
at the Private Institute for International Business Studies (IIBS)
in Munich, Germany. He has received numerous outstanding teaching
awards, including the CSCPA’s, Outstanding Accounting Educator
Award in 1998.
Ron’s
primary research interest is in auditing issues related to the
public accounting profession and accounting education issues. He
has published numerous articles in a wide range of journals
including, The Journal of Accounting Education, The CPA Journal,
The Financial Executive, The Journal of Accounting Perspectives, The
Journal of Applied Business Research, The Journal of Business
Education, and The Journal of Business Finance and Accounting.
He has made numerous presentations at professional accounting
educator’s meetings including, the American Accounting
Association, the
Colorado
Society of CPAs Educators Meeting, and the Institute of Decision
Sciences.
Ron is an
active member in the accounting profession. He is a member of
the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the
Colorado
Society of Certified Public Accountants (CSCPA), and Financial
Executive International (FEI).
He currently serves as one of six directors on FEI‘s Western Area
Leadership Board and is a current Board member and Past-President of
the Colorado Chapter of the FEI. He is also on the Board of
Trustees and serves as vice-chair of the CSCPA Education
Foundation. He serves on several AICPA committees and task forces.
He is active with the Professional Accounting Association and Beta
Alpha Psi, the honorary accounting organization at UNC.

Nancy S. Roecker
Nancy (Nan) Roecker is an
independent management and technology consultant
with over 15 years of senior
management experience in organizations serving the aerospace,
defense, education, manufacturing, real estate, and
telecommunications industries. Having held leadership positions in
companies at all stages of evolution, from startup businesses to
Fortune 500 organizations, Nan has been responsible for strategy,
business development, marketing, technology, product management and
business operations. Nan
began her career at Olin Corporation and Hughes Aircraft, where she
served in financial analysis, accounting and program management
positions.
Nan received her M.B.A. in Engineering Management from the
University of
Dallas and a B.S. in Marketing from the

received his undergraduate degree from the

Jud Snyder
With over nine years of
experience, Jud is an audit senior manager focused on providing
assurance and business advisory services to public and
privately-held companies ranging from start-ups to established
multinational companies. He has experience dealing with capital

Marilyn Sudbeck
Marilyn Sudbeck was a retail
business manager for a small store for 10+ years. She has worked in
large corporations including Public Service, Gates Rubber Company
and Kinder Morgan. She has subsequently formed her own company
specializing in QuickBooks training and support for QuickBooks
financial software and QuickBooks Point of Sale software.
Marilyn has a BA in Math
Education from the University of Nebraska, and a Master’s degree in

DAN THURMAN, CGFM
Dan
Thurman is Chief Financial Officer of U.S. Department of the
Treasury Franchise Business Activities - FedSource. From its nine
office locations across the country, FedSource provides a variety of
administrative services to federal agencies both nationally and
worldwide. FedSource is a federal organization that operates like
any other competitive business. FedSource annual earnings will
exceed one Billion dollars in 2006. Dan assumed his current position
in July 2005.
Prior to
joining the senior staff of FedSource, Dan was teaching Federal
Appropriations Law, Federal Budget courses, Federal Accounting
courses, and Strategic Management courses for all government
agencies. Dan served for a brief period as a Systems Accountant on
an Internal Controls Review Team for the U.S. Department of
Education; six years as Regional Director and National Student
Programs Manager for the Institute of Management Accountants; Senior
Associate for Finance and Administration at Pikes Peak United Way;
and he served twenty-two years in the United States Air Force. In
the Air Force, Dan served eleven years in Budgeting, Cost,
Financial, and Management Analysis. He developed, justified, and
implemented budgets ranging from $500 Million to $4.5 Billion. Dan
served eleven years on the faculty of the United States Air Force
Academy, where he taught accounting, marketing, general management
theory, and strategic decision analysis and implementation.
Dan has
served as an adjunct professor since the mid-seventies, and has
developed courses and taught for the University of Alabama,
University of Colorado, Colorado College, Denver Technical College,
and Pikes Peak Community College. He has developed and presented
national seminars and workshops, and has received numerous
prestigious awards for his outstanding teaching. Dan is
particularly noted for his national presentations on leadership,
diversity, cross functional teaming, and contemporary management
philosophy.
Dan holds
the Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Tuskegee
University, the Masters of Business Administration from the
University of Dayton, and has completed all postgraduate studies
except the final paper towards the Ph.D. in Accounting and Strategic

Sean
Valentine holds a D.B.A. in management from Louisiana Tech
University. He was formerly a restaurant supervisor with Hyatt
Hotels and Resorts and an officer in the Army National Guard, and he

Dr. White

Dr. White
owned and operated a CPA firm specializing in accounting information
systems for 17 years and currently consults in database accounting
software systems design, implementation, and operation for several

Bill has 30 years of experience
